Location
of Okontoe
Okontoe is 28 miles up the
two lane, paved, Gunflint Trail (County Road 12) from Grand
Marais, Minnesota. Grand Marais is 113 miles/2.5 hours
northeast of Duluth, Minnesota on the North Shore Drive (Highway
61). Heading on up the Gunflint Trail, out of Grand Marais look for the "Okontoe"
sign on the left hand side of the Trail at the Bow Lake Road.
